Since 2013, Learning,ly faculty member, NewKnowledge (Data You Can Use: Turning Anecdotes into Impact), has partnered with UL and NAAEE to conceptualize and develop the Innovative Education Award and facilitate judging. Recently, UL and the North American Association of Environmental Education (NAAEE) announced the winners of the first annual UL Innovative Education Award. Judges selected five programs to be awarded a total of $250,000. Each organization focuses on advancing STEM learning through projects involving real environmental problems (E→STEM) and each demonstrates success and innovation in this field.
